This year, for the first time, ICGI is connecting with the Reboot Fest<\/a><\/strong>, a new media and digital art festival and doctoral simposium that will also take place in Porto, from November 5th<\/sup> to 9th<\/sup><\/strong> and that we believe to be a good fit for the interests of ICGI participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reboot Fest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reboot is an invitation to imagination, criticism, fresh scientific production, and formal transdisciplinary artistic interventions, organized by the Digital Media Doctoral Program<\/a><\/strong> (DMDP). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the result of a collaboration of more than 10 years between the\u00a0University of Porto<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0NOVA University of Lisbon<\/strong>\u00a0(UNL), through the faculties of Engineering, Fine Arts, Sciences, Economics and Humanities of the University of Porto (FEUP, FBAUP, FCUP, FEP and FLUP<\/strong>), NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (UNL FCSH<\/strong>), and NOVA School of Science and Technology (UNL FCT<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctoral Simposium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This festival integrates a Doctoral Symposium<\/a>, which we consider as an opportunity for Ph.D. students (from DMDP or other doctoral programs) to present and discuss their ongoing Ph.D. research work<\/strong> (e.g., research goals, preliminary ideas, research plan, initial\/intermediate results), with experts in the field and peers. Students will receive feedback on the quality of their presentation and on the proposed research itself.
