It is with deep\u00a0sorrow that we announce that colleague Elizabeth Carvalho, a member of the Computer Graphics community since the mid-1990s, died last June 27 from a prolonged illness.
\nElizabeth Carvalho received her doctorate at the University of Minho in the area of \u200b\u200bInformation Visualization, having previously been an assistant at UTAD, a researcher at the Computer Graphics Center, and more recently, a researcher at Fraunhofer Portugal, and since 2013 a professor at Universidade Aberta, where she participated in the creation of an educational offer including the creation of the Master in Computer Graphics, a network offer from Universidade Aberta, Universidade do Porto and Universidade de Coimbra; took on several research projects in the area of \u200b\u200binformation visualization, virtual tutors and online teaching.<\/p>\n
She was a tireless doer of things, with an extraordinary team spirit, a giant generosity, a tireless enthusiast always available to take on new projects. His departure creates a void impossible to fill. I miss you already!
